I first came across this deck when I had a reading a few years ago and found these cards fascinating, now I have many sets of oracles and tarot's and having worked for years on a tarot and oracle card stall at the BSSK health and healing shows I'm pretty experienced in spotting an interesting deck. Wisdom of Avalon could be a very showy deck if it wanted but they are not showy like some decks and certainly not full of rich beautiful imagery that are so dense you just don't see everything. Nope! Wisdom of Avalon is not like that they are very simple and a bit oldie worldly the big bonus is they are easy to read so perfect for newbies or those wanting quick straight to the point answers but what I really like about these cards is the addition of the sacred journey marker cards they give an extra dimension to the deck, you could choose to take them out and work with the deck as two piles to gain more insight and direction and I personally love to do that! A deck for beginners and experienced readers alike
